Clients have been asking me for years about making beds. It wasn’t until the summer of 2010 that we were able to make it happen. With a beautiful design from Boyd Boggs, my brother in Charleston, SC we are able to offer a couple of variations on an idea he has been working with for years.

The slab bed design was inspired by the beauty of boards left in their natural shape. We soften the edges by hand sanding, but leave the undulating organic form as an expression of creativity we cannot improve. The massive curving legs solidly support the slab and the sleeper for a good night’s rest. Two designs allow our clients to choose a smaller footprint, or a bolder stance where room allows.
